Ms. Kasimecek had just purchased her dream home on a lake. She unfortunately purchased a home with mold, water damage, and sagging floors. The home's crawl space was not insulated, had open vents, and the entrance door to the crawl space was damaged which was letting in small critters. Ms. Kasimecek was concerned that when she lost power, the crawl space would accumulate water. She wanted to make sure she had a back-up sump pump.
Ms. Kasimecek's crawl space was very wet, had a lot of debris, and was tight in some areas which made it difficult to work. The home was built on a lake where the water table was high and had a few additions that were built over the years.

Basement Waterproofing of Michigan installed space support jacks to lift up the sagging floors. We installed two-inch foam board with spray foam along the perimeter and 90 mil thick Crawl Shield Elite Encapsulation System to seal the earth and its elements from her home. We also installed Crawl Shield Elite Silver siding on the walls to cover all the seams on the foam board. This siding reflects 97% of the heat back into the crawl space.
BWM also installed a full perimeter drainage system and discharge line to ensure the water ran to the Grate sump pump we had installed. The Grate Sump Pump Ms. Kasimecek chose, comes with a Power Inverter Battery Back-Up which kicks in if her power ever goes out.
